Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions: By Lacey Marie Makeup
1. Booking & Deposits
-
Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your wedding date. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
-
Deduction: This deposit will be deducted from your final total balance.
-
Agreement of Terms: By paying the booking deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions laid out in this document.
2. Payments & Cancellations
-
Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one week prior to the wedding date.
-
Non-Payment: If full payment is not received by this deadline, the booking will be cancelled, and the artist will not attend.
-
Cancellation (More than 6 months notice): If the booking is cancelled more than 6 months before the wedding date, the client is required to pay 50% of the total remaining cost.
-
Cancellation (Less than 6 months notice): If the booking is cancelled within 6 months of the wedding date, the client is required to pay the full balance (100%) This is due to loss of earnings as your specific date cannot be booked for further customers.
-
Date Changes: A minimum of 6 months' notice is required for any request to change the wedding date. Any change is subject to artist availability and will require a new booking fee to secure the new date.
3. Trials & Consultations
-
Bridal Trials: Trials are strongly advised to ensure the envisioned look is achieved and to determine the most suitable skincare and products for your skin type.
-
Non-Trial Bookings: If circumstances prevent you from attending a trial, you may still book for the wedding day. This will incur a higher rate to cover the additional time required in the wedding day schedule and a thorough phone consultation prior to the date.
-
Bridal Party Trials: Trials for bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride/Groom are available. While not mandatory, these are highly recommended.
-
Bridal Party Look: The artist will collaborate with the bride to discuss the bridal party makeup theme based on the bride’s chosen look and dresses. The final theme will complement the bride’s style and will not pull focus from the bride's look.
4. Health, Safety & Liability
-
Allergies & Sensitivities: It is the sole responsibility of the bride and all members of the bridal party to disclose any known allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions during the booking process. These will be noted in the wedding day file.
-
Liability Waiver: By Lacey Marie Makeup is not liable for any adverse reactions, injuries, or issues arising from products used. This waiver of liability applies in all circumstances, including cases where allergies or sensitivities have been disclosed, as well as cases of unknown or unforeseeable sensitivities.
-
Contagious Symptoms & Cross-Contamination: If any member of the bridal party has any condition or contagious symptoms on their face (e.g., cold sores, conjunctivitis, or open sores), it is understood their makeup will not be completed due to the risk of cross-contamination, as brushes and equipment would need to be disposed of. In this event, no refund will be issued for the cancelled service as the time slot was specifically allocated and held for the client.
-
Kit Protection: For hygiene and safety, the bridal party and onlookers must not touch or handle the artist’s kit or products. All products are professionally sanitised; this policy exists to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the safety of all clients.
5. Wedding Day Logistics
-
Final Numbers: Once the final number of people in the booking is confirmed, no additional makeovers can be added on the day of the wedding.
-
Schedules: A detailed schedule will be provided. The bride must approve this schedule prior to the wedding date, the timings of the schedule must be told to the venue, to check they can authorise this early start. If the venue does not allow the use of their premises at the time needed for the party, the bride must secure a pre wedding venue for the make overs.
-
Bridal Party Lateness: Adherence to the confirmed schedule is vital. Any lateness by the bridal party will result in that time being deducted from their specific allocated time slot to avoid disrupting the rest of the day. The bride must ensure that the bridal schedule is shared with each member having their make up done on the day. This keeps the day running smoothly and stress free
-
Hairdresser Liaison: It is the bride's responsibility to coordinate with the booked hairstylist and share the makeup schedule to ensure no overlaps or delays.
-
Venue Access & Early Arrivals: It is the bride’s responsibility to liaise with the venue and find out exactly how the artist can enter the venue, where the artist can park, and if the makeover location is different to the bride's suite. The bride should inform the venue of the start time of the wedding day schedule and advise if any changes to the entrance need to be made (for example, for weddings starting at unsociable hours). The artist allocates a set time for setting up all the kit and lighting, so it is vital she has access to the makeover venue at the exact time listed in the schedule.
-
Working Environment: The bride must provide an accurate location for makeup application, ensuring the artist has access to a reliable power supply, a table, and adequate lighting.
6. Media & Promotion
-
Photography: By Lacey Marie Makeup reserves the right to take photographs/videos of the makeup for promotional and portfolio purposes (e.g., website, social media).
-
Opt-Out: This applies to the bride and bridal party unless specifically requested otherwise in writing prior to the wedding date.
